Sabia que os Bosque da Noruega estão ligados ao misticismo e à mitologia nórdica? Conta a lenda que a carruagem onde Freya – a Deusa da beleza – cruzava o céu era puxada por dois gatos desta raça. Thor, o Deus viking da Guerra, tentou sequestrá-la, mas foi impedido pela ferocidade destes dois felinos! 

Estes gatos são caracterizados pelos seus olhos grandes e abertos, pela cauda longa e espessa e pelas suas orelhas altas e pontiagudas. Esta última característica assemelha-os aos linces e, não é por acaso, que os tufos das suas orelhas são chamados de “pincéis de lince”.

No que diz respeito à sua personalidade, os Bosque da Noruega, também conhecidos como “Doces Gigantes” são muito sociáveis e brincalhões!

Did you know that the Norwegian Forest Cat is linked to mysticism and Nordic mythology? Legend has it that the carriage where Freya - the Goddess of beauty - crossed the sky was pulled by two cats of this breed. Thor, the Viking God of War, tried to kidnap her, but was stopped by the ferocity of these two cats!

These cats are characterized by their large and open eyes, long and thick tail and their high, pointed ears. This last characteristic resembles lynx and it is not by chance that the tufts of their ears are called “lynx brushes”.

With regard to their personality, Norwegian Forest Cat, also known as “Sweet Giants” are very sociable and playful!
